For The Love Of K Gardens

About Us

For the Love of K Gardens was created by Michael Lynch in honor of his late wife, Kelleigh Lynch. Michael and Kelleigh met at 18 years old, and she helped him to grow in so many ways. Not only did they build a life together but they built a landscaping company together as well. Their life was filled with family, hard work, and above all else helping others in need. Michael decided that he wanted to use his gifts of gardening and continued dedication to helping others as a way to continue Kelleigh’s legacy; and so, For the Love K Gardens was born.

Our Vision

It is our hope that we can provide raised box gardens to grow vegetables at schools, community organizations, and housing communities. Not only will we provide the resources for the gardens but we will also provide support by way of mentor/volunteers with already established “growers”.

We are working to spread the “grow your own food” movement. We want to focus on sustainable growing methods, recycling, waste minimization and nutrition education. It has been shown that kids (and likely many adults) are more likely to eat their own vegetables if they grow them and take ownership in them.

Our Team

Mike Lynch:Founder and Executive Director

Michael and Kelleigh started Lynch Landscape and Tree Service, Inc. in 1980. Lynch has since become incredibly successful and is recognized as the Boston Metrowest leader in landscape, tree and irrigation services. Michael continues working hard every day in the field, side by side with his employees.

Together Michael and Kelleigh have helped so many people including family, friends and employees. They have provided financially for others, opened their home to so many, and were there to support in whatever way they could. Helping others was always something they shared and when he lost Kelleigh in June 2019, he couldn’t think of a better way to honor her than to continue helping others for her.

Michael resides in Upton, MA. He enjoys hunting and spending time with his daughter, Jayme, son in law, Quentin and three grandsons, Jackson, Griffin and Austin. He also enjoys time in Maine, Cape Cod and Florida.

Larry Ross: Director

Larry Ross is a retiree splitting his time between Skowhegan, Maine and Englewood, Florida.

In 1977, Larry moved to Maine and became the Executive Director at Sebasticook Farms, a not-for-profit corporation which provided a variety of services that empowered approximately 100 individuals to live independent, productive lives.

Larry began his second career in 2001, teaching in the Gifted and Talented program at the elementary level for MSAD 54 in Skowhegan, Maine. He was an Itinerant teacher traveling between three rural schools. Although now retired, Larry continues to be actively involved in education and volunteers at a number of schools in both Maine and Florida. He enjoys spreading a positive message of empowerment and has spoken at a variety of civic organizations.

Larry is married to Rebecca, a retired school nurse. They have two adult children and two grandchildren.
